Gillingham Anchorians Hockey Club kids – Dribbling and drooling for Sports Relief!

The junior section is planning a special training session on Sunday 23rd March to raise money for Sports Relief and to replace the astro pitch. At 10.45am, the over 10s will dribble, dodge, tackle and shoot their way around 5.5 laps of the pitch to meet the one mile Sports Relief challenge, while the under 10’s will do a smaller route – but again facing a series of hockey-related obstacles. We’ll be handing out sponsorship forms soon so please support if you can but for those with a sweet tooth, you can also come and buy a cake from the special bake sale that some of the youngsters will be hosting after training in the clubhouse.

Meanwhile, members of the senior hockey section will also be doing a 5k or 10k fun run from the club at 11.15am, entry £10 per runner. If you or your child would like to take part or support this morning of events, please contact Nigel McDonald or Gemma Smith.
