The season restarts…

Dear all,

Dates for your diary:

13th January – 11.00 for 11.30 U14s versus Folkestone, home fixture. Please could all U14s let me know your availability for this asap. We will get as many people as possible a game but if too many are available and you don’t get to play you will play in the next one.
13th January – 12.30 for 1.00 U16s versus Holcombe, home fixture. Can the U16s let Joel know their availability as soon as possible please.
20th January – U8/10/12 fixtures. Details to follow.
10th January U14/16 training 8 to 9.30. Please the following for rationale:
The coaching team met over the holidays to discuss getting the best from your children on the hockey pitch. We felt that the Sunday training sessions were very disrupted and the continuity was not contributing to good training sessions particularly for the older age groups. To this end we have taken the decision to move U14 and 16 training to Thursday evenings from 8.00 to 9.30.Many of the players already attend this session and those of you who are approaching 13 would have been invited to this one before the end of this season too.
Some of the benefits of this session are that the pitch will be available for more reasonable match times, the coaching team can give your children more consistent attention. You will also train with the people you will be playing with at the weekend when you start to play senior hockey. Parking is easier on a Thursday!
If this new time is going to cause anyone major problems please get in touch with me or any of the coaching team.
The first session will be on the 10th January.

Adults who normally train on a Thursday are still more than welcome.

All the best,
the GAHC Juniors Coaching team.
